Udupi: Sugunendra Tirtha Swami of Puttige Mutt will be felicitated this Saturday for installing an idol of Sri Krishna sculpted out of ‘saligrama shile,’ at the Sri Krishna Vrindavana located at the branch mutt of Puttige Mutt at Edison in New Jersey, U.S.
Sri Krishna Rao Kodancha, head of the felicitation committee, said that it was an achievement of the Puttige seer for having got the idol installed in Edison on June 8, this year, and giving an opportunity to the devotees to worship it. Vishwesha Tirtha Swami of Paryaya Pejawar Mutt released the invitation for the felicitation of Sugunendra Tirtha Swami of Puttige Mutt in Udupi
Shivarudra Swami of Beli Mutt, D. Veerendra Heggade, Dharmadhikari of Sri Kshetra Dharmasthala, Pramod Madhwaraj, Minister of State for Fisheries, Youth Empowerment and Sports, would be present at the function.
