Planning Forum inaugurated at St Philomena College Puttur

Puttur: The inaugural function of Planning Forum of PG Department of Economics of St Philomena College Puttur was held on August 29, 2017 in seminar hall of PG centre. The inaugurator Dr. Shripathi Kalluraya P, Professor of Economics, Mangalore University delivered a special lecture on ‘Research Methodology’. He said, ‘The strength of the present day economy is determined by the knowledge. In this regard, economists have a great role to play. The researchers must recognize and appreciate the interdependence among theory, research and practice.’

The president of the programme Rev. Dr Antony Prakash Monteiro, Chairman for PG studies said, ‘To grow an integrated and responsible citizen, we need to acquire so many basic skills.’

The Coordinator of the Department Prof. Dinakara Rao, Professor of the Department Dr Manjula B C, Assistant Professors Mr. Pradeep K S, Ms. Mahitha Kumari M, President of Planning Forum Mr. Rakesh Naik and Joint Secretary Ms. Nisha were present on this occasion.

Ms. Jayashree presented the prayer song. The convenor of Planning Forum Mrs. Sandhya H welcomed the gathering. Ms. Shabhana proposed the vote of thanks. Ms. B T Sowmya compered the programme.
