Mangaluru: Senior Congress Leader B Janardhana Poojary has demanded the resignation of Minister for Primary and Secondary Education Tanveer Sait who was allegedly caught viewing pornography on his cell phone at a Tipu Jayanthi function at Raichur.

Addressing media at the Press Club on Friday November 11, Poojary said, "Tanveer Sait has embarrassed the high command through his act. Chief Minister should inform to the people of Karnataka about the hidden truth as Tanveer has challenged him by denying the statement. It is better for the party to sack him for his embarrassing behaviour."

Speaking about demonetizing Rs 500 and 1000 notes, Poojary lauded Modi’s step of surgical strike against black money. "But the failure of the government to follow the right procedure has led to panic among people. There is dearth of new notes and the improper distribution of new notes has also made it an uphill task for the people to obtain new notes," he said.
