Poojary warns of Chennai like disaster if Yettinahole project is implemented

Mangaluru: "Karnataka may witness a calamity like Chennai's if the government decided to go ahead with the Yettinahole project which is marred by controversies. The government is determined to implement the project. Even opposition leader K S Eshwarappa is backing the project," said former MP and Congress leader B Janardhana Poojary.

Addressing press persons at the District Congress Office on December 5, Saturday, he also hit out at Tamil Nadu CM Jayalalitha for rejecting donations from other states including Karnataka.

Poojary also lashed out at Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his frequent foreign tours. He also said thatthe PMO was not entertaining RTI applications seeking to know the expenses towards these foreign tours.
