Raid conducted on close associate of B Ramanath Rai

Mangaluru: With assembly elections round the corner, IT sleuths are increasing raids. IT raided two business establishment having close association to B Ramanath Rai, minister and Congress candidate from Bantwal constituency.

IT sleuths began raids on Mogarody Constructions in Kavoor Junction, outskirts of Mangaluru city and Birwa Centre boarding, lodging, restaurant, located in Melkar in Mangaluru- Bengaluru Highway .

Mogarody Construction is owned by Sudhakar Shetty, while Sanjeev Poojary is the owner of Birwa Centre. Source also added that IT officials have been checking documents in these places.

The raid came immediately after IT officials raided the Krishna Heritage resort in Badami, days ago. Chief Minister Siddramaiah had visited the resort two days back as it was the meeting place for the Congress leaders.
