Rajshekhar Kotian joins Congress; felicitated by party

Mangaluru: Actor, producer and director, Rajshekhar Kotian, was felicitated on the occasion of his entry into the field of politics at a grand function held at TMA Pai hall. The programme was organized by the fans of Dr Rajshekar Kotian. The popular actor who has been seen in hit films like Jaggu Dada has joined Congress after months of specualtion.

Dakshina Kannada district in-charge minister, B Ramanath Rai said that Dr Rajshekhar Kotian has gained lot of support from the people after he became active in the field of films, and now he has joined politics. He also said that Dr Rajshekar Kotian has a huge responsibility on his shoulders to make Congress win in Dakshin Kannada and Udupi district.

MLA Abhayachandra Jain asked Rajshekar Kotian to follow Janardhana Poojary's service and said, "Poojary sincerely worked for the welfare of poor and for strengthening the Congress party. Now its time for Dr Rajshekhar Kotian to continue the same spirit of serving people through politics. I wish him all success for his future endeavours."
