Mangaluru: Sri Raghaveshwara Theertha Swamiji of Hosanagara Ramachandrapur Mutt has called upon the people to sink all differences and unitedly strive towards protection of cows. He was addressing the gathering at Kulur after being handed over the Go Dhwaja as part of the Mangala Go Yatra on Friday.

Stating that all the religious heads have supported the cause of the Go Yatra, he said there was a need to sensitize the society on the need to protect the cows . He also hoped that the Yatra would succeed in putting a stop to cow slaughter.

Sri Rajashekharananda Swamiji of Gurupur Vajradehi Mutt described the Go Yatra as a struggle for the cause of freedom of cows. He also regretted the absence of ministers in the function.
