Ramanath Rai hits out at rumour mongers

Mangaluru: District in-charge minister Ramanath Rai lashed out at rumour-mongers, and called them as anti-nationals. He said this statement as there has been increase in rumours from mpast few months especially in social media, which is causingcommunal disharmony in DK district.

"For the past few months some communal and anti-social elements have been trying to create tension in our district. They are injecting poison into the minds of our youths and coaching them on how to become communal by giving hate speeches and how to disturb peace with the help of social media. The culprits only know to obey their leaders. But it is my kind request to all students here, do not fall into their trap. The nation needs you to build its bright future," Rai said.

MLA Mohiuddin Bava said that college union helps to build a strong leadership quality in some and teaches them to think of others. He aksed students to be aware of fundamentalists in the distritc and asked them to unitedly fight against communal forces.
