Ravi Poojari's aide Prakash Shetty dies

Mangaluru: Nikhil Prakash Shetty, an aide of notorious underworld fugitive Ravi Poojary has died at the age of 45. He was said to be suffering from diabetes and paralysis and was admitted to a private hospital a couple of days ago.

Shetty who hailed from Ekkur was wanted in the 2007 Chemmanur Jewellery robbery case and was also accused of conspiring and supplying weapons to the killers of rowdy Vamanjoor Rohi alias Rohidas Shetty in 2009.

Nikhil who had made Dubai his base until 2013 was brought to India with the help of Interpol the same year. His death has sent shockwaves across underworld.
