Udupi: The process of land conversion in Gram Panchayats after the long discussion under the Form no. 9 and form no 11 Pramod Madwaraj local MLA and Parliamentary Secretary to the Revenue Minister had recommended steps to simplify the process of land conversion, said Pramod Madwaraj.

Speaking with the media persons at Press Club in Udupi, Pramod Madwaraj said that he had discussed the problems arising due to land conversion under Forms 9 and 11 in the Udupi district, D.K., U.K.,

Shivamogga, Kodagu and Chickamagaluru with officials of Zilla Panchayat CEOs, executive officers of taluk panchayats, Advocates and tahsildars etc. after the study a proposal has been submitted to the Department of Rural Development and Panchayat Raj for simplifying in Forms 9 and 11 for six districts including Udupi district.

The proposal intends to protect the interest of the High Court judgment. He said that he already recommended to Mr. H. K. Patil, Panchayatraj and Rural Development Minister that all applications for land conversation under these forms should be taken up at first come, first served basis at gram Panchayat offices and cleared within 15 days. So that it would put an end to complaints of deliberate delays by panchayat development officers and also corruption. He said he would have confident that the minister will act soon on my recommendations as there is lots of public pressure on the relaxation of Form 9 and Form no. 11.

He also said that the state government will soon hire 1000 licensed surveyors. The RTC’s also issued for conversion of agricultural land.
