Rendezvous 2K19 - Inter Collegiate Event held at- Sarosh Institute of Hotel Administration

Mangaluru: 04-September 2019 The inter collegiate event organised by Sarosh Institute of Hotel Administration "Rendezvous 2K19" was organised by the second year students under the guidance of staff Coordinator Mr Neil DSouza on 04-September-2019 in the college campus. The event had 10 teams participating in 18 events throughout the day in PU and Degree category.

 

The Chief Guest for the inaugural ceremony was Shri Aravind Bolar (Famous Actor,Tulu Cinemas) lovingly called Tulunada Manikya - Shri Aravind Bolar, in his speech as the Chief Guest, spoke on the importance of respecting teachers, elders and parents as they are the prime essence of our lives in this Earth. He stressed on taking the words of teachers as positive blessings in our lives to be better than what we are. He mentioned that success of any event organised in the college is the hard work and dedication put in by the students who are working for the event. He further spoke about his childhood and career and gave it as an example for the gathering that General Knowledge is very important to come up in life and just a degree or any educational qualification is solely not enough to build a career. He mentioned that whatever level we go up in life and any technology we have in life, make sure to talk to the family members at home and take care of them...

He further mentioned his famous movie dialogue to entertain the entire gathering present who had a very good time during his speech.

Then Shri Aravind Bolar was felicitated by the organising committee of rendezvous along with the senior Lectures Ms.Veda Rai and Mr Uday Menon.

The different events of the day then proceeded for both Pu and degree sections simultaneously . The events held were news bulletin, photography, face painting, flower arrangement, mystery box, cocktail, dumb charades, Mr/Ms rendezvous, variety entertainment, cooking without fire, quiz, mocktail, one- minute to fame, video making, treasure hunt

The judges for the day we're Mr. Santosh Andrade, Ms.Sandricca DSouza, Mr. Vinod, Mr. Fidel, Mr. Lanwin Lobo

The eventfull day came to an end with the final round of Mr/Ms Rendezvous.

The valedictory program had Shri Lanwin Lobo as the Chief Guest.

All teams were given participation certificates and then the winners in each event in both the categories were awarded. In the PU section the runners up were StAgnes PU College and Overall Champions were St Aloysius PU college. In the degree section the runners up were School of social work,Roshini Nilaya and the overall champions were St Agnes College(autonomous).

Mr. Bavith Karkera of the 3rd year compered the program for the day. Mr.Thrishool Shetty (Student Coordinator) rendered the welcome address and Mr. Neil DSouza (Staff Coordinator) expressed the Vote of thanks.

Evening chief guest spoke about the importance of technology in everyday life and gave a important message that even though we use best if the technology, we should not forget our originality and creativity in life
