Retired lawyer hangs himself

Udupi: In a tragic incident, retired lawyer residing in Shewta Residency on Uchila Paniyur road near Padubidri, committed suicide by hanging himself at his home on Tuesday November 1.

The deceased is Nagappa C Putran (78). Nagappa chose to kill himself when his wife had gone away on some work. It is not known why he took this extreme step.

A case of unnatural death was filed in Padubidri police station relating to this incident.
