Kasargod: At around midnight on Thursday September 8, a gang of four masked robbers entered the house of Raveendranath Shetty. The gang members flashed sickles which they held close to the necks of Shetty couple, and took away Rs 30,000 in cash, and 30 sovereigns of gold ornaments placed inside cupboards. Shetty said that they also forcibly took away his car. He added that the robbers were inside the house for nearly two hours.
Raveendranath Shetty's wife, Mahalaxmi, claimed that the four robbers used only the words, 'Chup' and 'Nikalo' during their stay. The couple lives alone in this two-storied house.
Police visited the spot and collected details. Sniffer dogs and finger print experts also surveyed the area for clues.
