Roshni Nilaya’s NSS unit holds special camp at Ramakrishna Tapovan, Polali

Mangaluru: The NSS unit of School of Social Work, Roshni Nilaya, had their annual special camp at Ramakrishna Tapovan, Polali from November 13 to 19.

Various programmes were organised by the NSS Volunteers like digging 10 by 10 feet pit for rain water harvesting at Tapovan, Children’s Day programme was held for the ashram students where 80 students participated, street play on Swatch Bharath and many more.

Besides this, in association with Kariyangala gram panchayat and Shree Rajarajeshwari High School Polali, 60 NSS volunteers of School of Social Work held Swatch Bharath programme by cleaning the streets of Polali. The programme was headed by Chandravathi, president Kariyangala gram panchayat, Chandrashekhar, vice-president Kariyangala gram panchayat, Padma Naik, PDO, Kariyangala gram panchayat, Uma, headmistress, Shree Rajarajeshwari High School Polali, Prof Cecilia Goveas, NSS programme officer, School of Social Work, Roshni Nilaya and Sandeep Ullal, assistant NSS programme officer, School of Social Work, Roshni Nilaya.
