SDM Ujire emerge winners at media fest ‘Beacons’

Mangaluru: The second day of Beacons, the media fest hosted by Nitte Institute of Communication ended with SDM Ujire winning the coveted trophy, while Alva’s undergraduate college emerged runners up. Incidentally, Alva's College was the runners-up last year. The trophies were distributed by Prof Dr Indrani Karunasagar, head of R&D for Nitte deemed to be University.

The day began with competitions like quiz, mock press, face painting and crisis management. New additions were The Escape Room and Potpourri. Apart from the usual media related events, the fest had fun activities such as Water Splash and Chain Reaction which were received with great enthusiasm by the crowd.

The valedictory function ended with a vote of thanks by the cultural representative of the College, Pavan Kumar and joint secretary Gaurish Rao.
