SIT Valachil conducts RTIP valedictory programme

Mangaluru: The valedictory function of Faculty Development Programme 'Recent Trends in Industrial Practices, RTIP - 2018' was held on April 13 at Srinivas Institute of Technology, Valachil.

Shankar Karnam, deputy manager, KIOCl Ltd, Mangaluru was the chief guest of the function which was presided over by Dr Shrinivasa Mayya D, principal of the college.

Shankar Karnam, in his address, mentioned about discipline and time management that needs to be followed by the engineer for the success of an industry. He also quoted that for the growth of any organization the employees must work together rather than work alone.

Dr Shrinivasa Mayya D, in his presidential address, congratulated the members of the RTIP - 2018 programme and also quoted that the faculty must undergo this type of a workshop to learn about modern technology so that they can guide the students in the path of success.

Dr C G Ramachandra, HOD of Marine Engineering, convenor of the programme briefed about the three day programme and mentioned that around 72 participants from various colleges across the country have registered for it.

The programme was welcomed by Nithin Joshuva, assistant professor Mechanical Department and the vote of thanks was delivered by Sathisha K G, assistant professor Mechanical Department. Masters of ceremony were Renston Fernandes, assistant professor Marine Department and Vivek Vijay, assistant professor Marine Department.
