Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, Madanthyar celebrates Catechism Day 2019

Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, Madanthyar celebrated Catechism Day on Sunday, 24th February 2019. Rev. Fr Lancy Lewis – Superior, Asha Deepa celebrated the Holy Eucharistic and prayed for all the children. Children and teachers animated the liturgy meaningfully.

After the Mass, breakfast was served to all the gathering followed by cultural programme which was held in the Sacred Heart Community Hall. The entire children performed wonderful programme on stage narrating teachings and parables of Jesus. During the programme children were honoured for their achievements and catechism teachers were felicitated for their dedicated service.

 

Rev. Fr Basil Vas, Rev. Fr Alwyn DSouza, Rev. Fr Jerome DSouza, Rev. Fr Alwyn S.J, Ronald Sequeira - Vice President, Leo Rodrigues - Secretary, Madanthyar Parish Pastoral Council, Sr Prema Tauro, Sr Theresa Crasta, Teacher Jessy Lobo were present for the programme.

Sumptuous meal was prepared by members of parish pastoral council and was served to the gathering at the end of the programme. The whole programme was hoisted by the Madanthyar parish pastoral council.
