Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, Madanthyar celebrates Vespers Day

Vespers day (Bespu) was celebrated on Tuesday, 4nd December 2018 at Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, Madanthyar a day prior to the annual feast of the Church. Faithful gathered in the town, near the Grotto of Our Lady of Velankani ( in front of Nuthan Cloth Centre) at 6 PM. Rev. Fr. Roman Pinto - Parish Priest, Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Thirthahalli Shimoga, proclaimed the word of God and preached in Kannada and thereafter procession was taken through the streets of Madanthyar. Procession was accompanied by musical band till the church.

The entire liturgical service (vespers) was conducted by Rev. Fr. Roman Pinto, meanwhile the members of the church choir beautifully sung the psalms. All the parishioners participated in this spiritual event and prepared themselves spiritually for the annual feast of the church which will be celebrated on 5th December 2018.
