Sanskrit Divas celebrated at Vikas PU College

Mangaluru: Vikas Pre-University College, celebrated Sanskrit Divas.

Ravi Alevuraya, the head master of Navabharath Night High School, Mangaluru and director of Sarayu Bala Yakshagana Vrindha, a school for yakshagana training, was the chief guest of the function. While addressing the students he said that Sanskrit is God’s own language and maintained that it is important to know Sanskrit to know more about our culture as it is one of the sanathana languages.

On the occasion, rangoli, group song and many more competitions were held and the winners were felicitated during the inaugural function by the chief guest. Dr D Sripathi Rao, correspondent, welcomed the gathering. Dr Ananth Prabhu G, advisor, Vikas Edu Solutions, trustee Koragappa J and principal Prof T Rajaram Rao were present on the occasion.

Damodar Prabhu and Neha K M, second PU students compered the function. Laxmeesh Bhat, lecturer in Sanskrit, rendered the vote of thanks.
