Mangaluru: Sarosh Institute of Hotel Administration organized national level inter-collegiate competition ‘Rendezvous 2018’ recently.
The event was inaugurated by popular Tulu actor Arjun Kapikad. Principal Prof Amar Z Cherian welcomed the gathering, staff coordinator Jogi Joy rendered the vote of thanks, student coordinator Bavith L Karkera gave the event report, Mervin Vas,PRO of student council, introduced the chief guest. Gladen D’Souza was on the dais and Nichelle Rodrigues compered the programme.
Competitive spirit was shown by the students from various colleges. Several competitions like Cocktail and Mocktails making, Indian Dessert, Healthy Salad, Quiz, Free Lancer, Best Manager, Flower Arrangement, Face Painting, Photography, Mad Ads and SIHA’s got talent (Cultural Activity) were conducted for the participants. The students were served with sumptuous food prepared by the college students.
The valedictory function took place in the Utsav college auditorium. It was presided by Winston Lobo, founder and the proprietor of Foresee Coaching Centre, Mangaluru and Uday Menon, assistant professor of the college, staff coordinator Jogi Joy, and student coordinator Bavith L Karkera were on the dais. The PUC overall championship was bagged by St Agnes PU College, Mangaluru, and runners-up were Padua PU College Nantoor. The Degree overall championship was bagged by SDM College Mangaluru and runners-up were St Aloysius College, Mangaluru. The event ended successfully with the support of all the colleges who participated and the students of 2nd year under the guidance of the event staff coordinator Jogi Joy and event student coordinator Bavith Karkera.
