School boy killed as bus smashes into bicycle near Kundapur

Kundapur: A school boy was killed after a speeding bus rammed into his bicycle at Amasebail on Tuesday. Vijay Naik (14), son of Laxman Naik, a resident of Hengavalli, was killed in the accident.

Vijay was a student of 8th standard at Government High School, Amasebail. He used to go to school cycling with his friends. On Tuesday evening after school hours, as usual, Vijay left for home on his bicycle, but when he reached near Amasebail mosque, a speeding bus rammed into him, killing him on the spot.

The private bus was plying from Kundapur to Amasebail. Amasebail police have registered a case.
