Science Fest ‘AURORA- 2017’ held at St Philomena College Puttur

Puttur: Science Forum of St Philomena College Puttur organized an intercollegiate Science Fest ‘AURORA-2017’ on January 19, 2017 in college auditorium.

Campus Director Rev. Dr Antony Prakash Monteiro in his inaugural address said, ‘Starting experiences are very bitter, if you face them you can do the marvelous thing in your life.’

Principal Prof. Leo Noronha in his address said, ‘Without science nothing can be possible. Today, science has become the part of human life.’

Correspondent Very Rev. Fr Alfred J Pinto presided over the function. Principal of St Philomena Pre University College Rev. Fr Vijay Lobo and Convenor of Science Forum Prof. Udaya K graced the occasion.

Ms. Anarghya and team performed the prayer. President of Science Forum Mr. Pratheek Rai welcomed the gathering. Secretary Mr. Ruther Tyson Lewis proposed the vote of thanks. Ms. Moksha Muthakka compered the programme.

In valedictory function, Principal of St Philomena Pre University College Rev. Fr Vijay Lobo participated as the chief guest and honoured the prize winners. Campus Director Rev. Dr Antony Prakash Monteiro and Convenor of Science Forum Prof. Udaya K graced the occasion. Principal Prof. Leo Noronha presided over the programme.

‘AURORA-2017’ consisted of Ice Breakers, Quiz, Chemistry Lab Event, Audio-Visual Contest, Seminar, Photography and Star Wars.
SDM College (Autonomous) Ujire bagged the overall championship and St Aloysius College (Autonomous) Mangalore secured the Runners up trophy.

Ms. Raniha Alisha welcomed the gathering. President of Science Forum Mr. Pratheek Rai presented the details of prize winners. Ms. Fathimath Suhaila proposed the vote of thanks. Ms. Fiona Mascarenhas compered the programme.
