Science Fest ‘PRAVEGA- 2018’ held at St Philomena College Puttur

Puttur: Science Forum of St Philomena College Puttur organized an intercollegiate Science Fest ‘PRAVEGA-2018’ on January 25, 2018 in college auditorium.

Director of Indian Council for Agricultural Research, Puttur Dr M Gangadhara Nayak in his inaugural address said, ‘Science always speaks truth. Those who exhibit science will always succeed.’

Campus Director Rev. Dr Antony Prakash Monteiro participated as the guest of honour. He said, ‘Any mind which is creative can create wonders.’

Principal Prof. Leo Noronha in his address said, ‘Creativity is more important than knowledge.’

Correspondent Very Rev. Fr Alfred J Pinto presided over the function. He said, ‘Science students are always known for their discipline.’

Ms. Kshama and team performed the prayer. Convener of Science Forum Mr. Chandrashekhar K welcomed the gathering. President of Science Forum Mr. Kenjomini coordinated the programme. Dean of Science Prof. Udaya K introduced the chief guest. Secretary Ms. Anarghya proposed the vote of thanks. Ms. Munazaha compered the programme.

In valedictory function, Campus Director Rev. Dr Antony Prakash Monteiro participated as the chief guest and honoured the prize winners. Principal Prof. Leo Noronha presided over the programme. Dean of Science Prof. Udaya K and Secretary of Science Forum Ms. Anarghya were present on this occasion.

Vice President of Science Forum Ms. Vanyashree welcomed the gathering. Convenor of Science Forum Mr. Chandrashekhara K presented the list of prize winners. President of Science Forum Mr. Kenjomini proposed the vote of thanks. Ms. Sharanya compered the programme.

‘PRAVEGA-2018’consisted of Photography, Stress Interview, Treasure Hunt, Chemistry Lab Event, Quiz, Spell Bee and Painting.

Poorna Prajna College Udupi bagged the overall championship of ‘PRAVEGA-2018’. St Agnes College (Autonomous) Mangalore secured the First Runner up trophy and Milagres College Kallianpur secured the Second Runner up trophy.
