Udupi: The Karavali Karnataka unit of the Shiva Sena staged a protest in front of the Government Hospital for Women and Children demanding a CBI probe into the alleged corruption involved in the handing over of the hospital to a private entity.

Speaking on the occasion, Madhukar Mudradi, President of the Shiva Sena Karavali Karnataka Unit, said, "Land worth crores of rupees has been entrusted to BR Life Care without ensuring transparency and without inviting any tender. The hospital ought to have been made available for the service of the public since January 1, 2018, but that has not been the case. This is a clear violation of the conditions laid down in the agreement."

A memorandum was also forwarded to the CM through the Deputy Commissioner. Organisation leaders Dinesh, Gautham Prabhu and others were present.
