Shops in Central Market without licences raided

Mangaluru: MCC officials under the leadership of Kavitha Sanil, Chairperson of the Standing Committee on Health, Education and Social Justice, raided several shops at the City Market Building in Central Market area on Saturday.

Several shopkeepers were seen escaping by closing down their shops as soon as they sighted the MCC officials.

As many as 100 shops were functioning without licences in the area. Action will be taken on the shop owners as per law.
