Signature campaign against UCC by Muslim Central Committee

Mangaluru: Muslim Central Committee of Dakshina Kannada district will commence a signature campaign against Uniform Civil Code. Signatures of Muslim men and women, who oppose central government’s intervention into Sharia Law, will be sent to All India Muslim Personal Law Board through All India Milli Council.

This was informed by K S Mohammed Masood, president of the committee.

He said, "We have decided to condemn the central government’s intervention into Sharia Law by BJP government. The committee also resolved to flay the affidavit submitted to the Supreme Court with regard to Uniform Civil Code. Hence, we have decided to commence a signature campaign, wherein Muslim men and women will sign the petition against central government’s intervention into Sharia Law,".
"The committee also has decided to hold protests against the central government. Future course of action will be decided based on the directions of All India Milli Council," he added.
