Son attacks father over ownership of land

Puttur: A man attacked his father after getting involved in a war of words with him. At the end, the father was admitted into hospital in critical condition.

Abubakker was the man who attacked his father, Adam, resident of Kudlur House at Uppinangady. Father-son duo has been involved with fight over the ownership of a land. Adam visited the vegetable shop of his son at Bank Road in Uppinangady and kicked up a fight yet again on the same issue.

During the verbal friction between the two thereafter, Abubakker, in a fit of rage, picked up an iron rod in his shop and hit his father in the head. Adam, who sustained deep gash in his head, became unconscious, after which Abubakker took him to hospital.
