St Agnes PU College team emerges victorious at throwball, karate tourneys

Mangaluru: District level karate and district level throwball tournaments were organized on September 1 and September 9 respectively. The district level throwball tournament was organized by the pre-university education department, here and Vani PU College, Belthangady played at Vani PU College on September 9.

St Agnes PU College team won the first place. Six students from the team have been selected for the state level tournament at Chikkaballapura.

The district level karate tournament was organized by pre-university education department, here and Mahaveera PU College, Moodbidri played at Mahaveera PU College on September 1. St Agnes PU College team won the overall championship in Kumute category.

Winners of the tournament are:

1. Dhruthi Mondodi - Second place
2. Aajna Alva - Second place
3. Sara Monis - Second place
4. Umal Masooma - Second place
5. Veena Billar - Third place
