St Aloysius BEd College welcomes new batch of students

Mangaluru: St Aloysius BEd College, a leading institute in the city in educating teachers welcomed the thirteenth batch of students.

The programme began with a prayer song led by Sr Joyline and group.

Fr Dr Praveen Martis SJ, director, in his welcome address introduced the new students to the qualities of Jesuit Education, namely competence, commitment, compassion and conscience and also its characteristics. "St Aloysius BEd College provides varied opportunities to inculcate these qualities in order to attain competent teachers required by educational institutions. A positive mindset, determination to accomplish tasks despite the disheartening circumstances, patience and a focus on one's goals are also important to achieve success in a student’s life."

Dr Farita Viegas, principal, introduced the regulations of the institute and highlighted what it is to be a student teacher trainee.

This was followed by the introduction of faculty members.

Delna Lobo, vice-principal, delivered the welcome address and Sandhya rendered the vote of thanks. Sarika Rodrigues compered the programme. The programme ended with the college anthem.
