St Aloysius College welcomes I year PG batch

Mangaluru: The inauguration of I Year PG students of 2018-20 batch of St Aloysius College (autonomous), was held at Fr L F Rasquinha hall, LCRI Block.

Fr Dionysius Vaz SJ, rector, St Aloysius Institutions, Dr Praveen Martis SJ, principal, Dr A M Narahari, registrar, Fr Pradeep Sequeira SJ, finance officer, Dr Loveena Lobo, director of PG block, Dr Richard Gonsalves, director of LCRI block, Dr P P Sajimon, dean for PG studies and all the PG HODs were present during the programme.

Rector Fr Dionysius Vaz in his address said that this institution is a sacred place and the students who enrolled for PG studies entered a sacred place. He advised the students to set a goal with a dream and try to make the dream a reality through experience and reflection. He urged the students to develop confidence and softskills which really matters to enter the competitive world after their studies.

Principal, Dr Praveen Martis advised the students to have a vision for the future which is of utmost importance in one’s life. He also said that there is a lot of rigour in masters studies. Hence, as APJ Abdul Kalam instructed the youth to dream, dream, dream students must have a vision with a dream. There are quite a number of PG courses in St Aloysius College and students who opted the courses of their choice, will get hands-on experience along with the curriculum which will definitely help them in their future.

Dr Loveena Lobo welcomed the students and wished them well for their future. Dr Richard Gonsalves introduced the PG HODs to the gathering. Dr Vinola Rodrigues, department of PG Chemistry compered the programme. Dr Sajimon proposed the vote of thanks. The students of PG Chemistry conducted a prayer.
