St Aloysius Gonzaga School celebrates sixth annual day

Mangaluru: St Aloysius Gonzaga School celebrated its sixth annual day .The programme began with the grand Hawaiin welcome by the tiny tots followed by Jewish invocation. Fr Melwin Mendonca SJ, manager of the school, welcomed the gathering.

The highlights of the special events of the year were briefed upon by principal Grace Noronha supported by a power point presentation. Fr Dionysius Vas SJ, rector St Aloysius College Institutions presided over the function. Dr Ravishankar Rao, professor of English and director of International Student Centre, Mangalore University, was the chief guest.

The chief guest addressed the gathering with a thought provoking message for the management, teachers, students and parents. Rector Fr Dionysius Vaz delivered the presidential address expressing his love for children and showed concern in their overall development. The programme was compered by Akif, Pranav and Malavika.

In the theme ‘Peace and Harmony’, people of Mangalore decide to go on a ‘Peace March’ in order to bring peace to the wounded parts of the world especially Nigeria, Turkey, Syria and Afghanistan. They succeed in this endeavor by spreading awareness through a pledge, a song of peace and highlighting the culture of these places through different dance forms.

The programme concluded with the school anthem.
