St Mary's English Medium School Kannarpady observes magnificent Annual Day

Udupi: St Mary's English Medium School, Kannarpady here, celebrated it’s 34th Annual Day at the school premises in an exuberant manner.

Sharlet Furtado, a renowned advocate and notary, in the city was the chief guest for Kindergarten section's formal programme. Dr B H V Pai, joint director and professor, Dept of Civil Engineering, Manipal Institute of Technology, Manipal University was guest for the Primary section's annual celebration.

 

Fr Peter S Noronha, the spiritual director of Father Muller Homeopathic Medical College, Deralakatte was the guest of honor and Prakash Pai, the President of Nuclear software, Noida was chief guest for the High section's formal programme.

Addressing a huge gathering of parents and students Fr Peter S Noronha appealed to them to socialize the modern day kids with lot more sensitivity and care.

Prakash Pai, another guest, stressed on the need of time management and skill enhancement to cope with the competitions of today's globalized world.

Fr Valerian Mendonca, correspondent of St Mary's Educational Institutions, Udupi heartily congratulated the pivotal role played by the principal and vice principal in the infrastructural progress of the school during his presidential speech. He advised the parents to bring up children with a sound moral base and prepare them for the challenges of the future world.

Principal Myrtle L F Lewis and vice principal Deepa Bhandary were honored with great reverence for their magnanimous dedicated service and praiseworthy contributions. Prakash Pai, was specially honored for his philanthropic contribution of Rs 15 lac toward the furnishing of the school auditorium. The school annual report was presented by the principal, Eunice Anchan who also introduced the guests and welcomed the gathering. The school pupil leader, Vidmahi proposed the vote of thanks.

Shauna Dsouza and Darren compered the programme. The formal programme was followed by variety entertainment. The dances, orchestra and skits which centered on the theme 'colors of life' mesmerized the audience.
