St Milagres Cooperative celebrates Independence Day with mentally challenged children

Mangaluru: The Mangaluru branch of St Milagres Credit Sauharda Cooperative Limited celebrated Independence Day in a unique way at St Agnes special school, Mangaluru. MLA J R Lobo distributed bed sheets for daily use and snacks to 315 school children.

Lobo said that the cooperative is being commended for pro society work such as this. “May the organization earn more profit, indulge in such programmes and be successful,” he said.

Sr Maria Anitha said that they were glad that the cooperative has held such noble programme with them after a long time. “The children in the school will be grateful for forever,” she said.

School principal Sr Shruthi, Lions Club president C S Bhandary, KSRTC director C K Sudheer, cooperative development manager Mohammed Iqbal Sheikh and staff were present.
