St Philomena College Puttur celebrated Annual Athletic Meet 2016-17

Puttur: Annual Athletic Meet 2016-17 of St Philomena College Puttur was celebrated on December 21, 2016. Mrs. Rose Mary Presilla, Assistant Section Officer, General Administration, Government of Kerala inaugurated the meet by releasing the balloons and declared the Athletic Meet open.

 

Mr. Chandrashekhara H V, Sub Inspector of Police, Sullia Police Station was the chief guest. He said, ‘You have a right to perform your prescribed duty, but you are not entitled to the fruits of action.’

Rev Dr. Antony Prakash Monteiro, Campus Director and the Chair Person for PG Studies and Research was the guest of honour. He said, ‘Every one must be grateful to this ground and try to make this ground historical.’

Very Rev Fr Alfred J Pinto, Correspondent of the college in his presidential address said, ‘Every individual must become an example to others.’

In March Past, the students of second year B.Sc have won the first prize, the students of third year B.Com ‘B’ section have won the second prize and the students of third year B.Sc have won the third prize. Rev. Fr Vijay Lobo, Principal, St Philomena P U College honoured the prize winners.

The members of Performing Arts sang the prayer song. Prof. Leo Noronha, Principal welcomed the gathering. Mr. Prakash D’Souza, Physical Education Instructor proposed the vote of thanks. Mrs. Sowmyalatha, Physical Education Instructor coordinated the programme. Prof. Malini K, Associate Professor, Department of Chemistry compered the programme.
