St Philomena College Puttur holds ‘Philo Nrithyothsava-18’ on August 20 & 21

Puttur: St Philomena College Puttur in association with Directorate of Student Welfare of Mangalore University will organize Intercollegiate Dance Competition ‘Philo Nrithyothsava-18’ on August 20 and 21st, 2018 in college auditorium.

The inaugural programme will be held on August 20, at 9.30 AM. The Vice Chancellor of Mangalore University Dr Kishor Kumar C K will inaugurate the programme. The Campus Director of the college Rev. Dr Antony Prakash Monteiro will participate as the chief guest. The Alumni Mr B Krishna Bhat and Mr Ramakrishna Shetty will be the guests of honour. The Correspondent Very Rev Fr Alfred J Pinto will preside.

The valedictory programme will be held on August 21, at 4.00 PM. The Director, Student Welfare, Mangalore University Dr Barkur Udaya will participate as the chief guest. The Professor of K S Hegde Medical Academy, Nitte University, Deralakatte Dr Suchetha Kumari N and the Artist at Tribal Tattoo, Mysore Mr Yogesh Pravin Gowda will be the guests of honour. The Principal Prof Leo Noronha will preside.

On the first day evening at 4.30 PM a special concert ‘Raga Ranjani’ will be organized. The popular artists like Mr Prashanth Subrahmanya, Mr Karthik K, Mr Nithesh Kumar, Mr Satwik Bedekar, Mr Vinaya Acharya, Mr Vishwas, Mr Rajashekar, Mr Rohit Mangalore will perform. The convener of ‘Philo Nrithyothsava-18’ Mr Prashanth Rai will coordinate the programme. More than 600 students from 50 colleges affiliated to Mangalore University are expected to participate in this Two-Day programme.
