Stones pelted at Nurul Islam Mosque

Udupi: An unidentified miscreant pelted stones at the Adi-Udupi Nurul Islam Mosque near Udupi late night on Saturday.

When the Mosque Imam came for the morning prayer at 5 am in the morning of Sunday, the incident came to light that the window panes and glass of the Mosque have been damaged in the incident.

The crime incident was recorded in the CCTV camera in the mosque and on Sunday around 12.16 am.

A miscreant who arrived on a motorbike pelted stones to the mosque.Kumaraswamy DySP of Udupi, Naveenchandra CPI Udupi, Shrikanth CPI Brahmavar, Maheshchandra Tahsildar and other top police officials visited the spot and collected the information on the incident and also CCTV footage from the Mosque administration.

A case has been registered in Udupi Town Police Station.
