Student jumps off to death

Mangaluru, (The Hindu): An 18-year-old girl studying II Pre University at Alva’s Pre University College, Moodbidri, near here, allegedly committed suicide by jumping off the fifth floor of her hostel building on Thursday.

The police gave the name of the student as Rachana, a native of Chitradurga district. She was in the science stream. According to the police, the student has left a note in which she wrote that she was depressed over her ill health. Moodbidri police have registered a case of unnatural death. Investigation is on.
