Students of Bertrand Russell School excel in essay writing

Mangaluru: Students of Bertrand Russell English Medium School, Baikampady, Varshini of X Std and Vindyashree of X Std bagged first and second place respectively in essay on the topic ‘My vision corruption free India’ at MRPL Employees Club.

Vigilance Awareness week - 2017 was observed from November 1 to 4 by Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Ltd (MRPL) in association with Rotary club of Mangalore, Port Town.

The programme was inaugurated by B M Hegde, former vice-chancellor of Manipal. Rajendra Bhat, director of Spandana TV and trainer of Jaycees delivered a speech on the topic ‘Leadership with Integrity’ and Dr Shivakumar Magada delivered a speech on ‘Deficiency in Human Life’. Karthik Kateel told about the techniques of self defense.

The students also participated in industrial tour to MRPL and walkathon from MRPL club to Kaikamba.
