The 30th Sarvajanik Sri Ganeshotsava concluded with the immersion of the Sri Ganesha idol at Suvarna River, Kallianpur

Udupi: The 30th Sarvajanika Sri Ganeshotsava of Santhekatte Kallianpur concluded with the immersion of Sri Ganesh idol in the Swarna River at Kallianpur Kolave Bagilu near here on Thursday, 08th September, 2016 with gaiety.

 

The immersion procession began at around 5 pm from the Santhekatte, behind the State Bank of India, where the idol was installed four days before. There were various cultural programmes as well as competitions for the students and others held during these four days.

Large number of people gathered not only in Santhekatte but gathered upto Kallianpur Kolavebagilu in thousands. The large number of youths and others danced to the tune of music throughout the immersion procession.

The stage programmes were held at Kallianpur, from Milagres Church as usual every year for decades, which organized by Shop Owners Association, Kallianpur. The cultural programmes like folk dances, fancy dress show and singing were held on the stage, which large number of people witnessed the various programmes. Shekar Baikady compered the programme. Consolation amount distributed to all the veshadaris fancy dress individuals and groups. The shop Owners of Kallianpur were present during the beautiful programmes on the stage.
