Udupi: The Titular feast of Our Lady of Miracles held at Milagres Cathedral, Kallianpur near here on Saturday, 9th July, 2016. The feast Solemn High Mass celebrated by main celebrant Most Rev Dr. Aloysius Paul D’Souza, Bishop of Mangalore Diocese, Most Rev Dr. Gerald Isaac Lobo Bishop of Udupi Diocese, Mosgr. Dr. Baptist Menezes, Vicar General of Udupi Diocese, Deans of five deaneries along with more than fifty diocesan priests.

Prior to the high mass, priests were proceeded in procession towards Cathedral from Milagres Tri-centenary Hall with brass band, altar servers at 10 am. In his homily address Bishop A. P. D’Souza said that Mother Mary is the role model for us. He said hard work will get results and it may get happiness.

Mother Mary was a role model for us in three things that Mother Mary obedient to her husband and devoted wife. She was a role model for mothers and she was faithful to neighbors’. The faithful people should role model like Mother Mary.

At the end of the Eucharistic celebration, Bishop Aloysius Paul D’Souza gave and honored with a decorated candle to sponsor of the titular feast since more than fifty years late A. J. D’Silva and late Anjeline D’Silva children.

Cathedral Rector Very Rev Fr. Stany B. Lobo placed some of the important announcements and gave thanks to Bishop Dr. Aloysius Paul D’Souza and Bishop Dr. Gerald Isaac Lobo and all the priests and the faithful devotees of Miragres. He also gave thanks to all concerned as well.

The large number of devotees across the diocese were participated the Eucharistic celebrations. The large number of devotees of Milagres visited the miracle statue of Our Lady of Miracles and offered the prayers with lighting the candles. The Cathedral was jam packed with devotees and at the end of the mass brief refreshments was distributed.
