The first ever Alumni Day of Crossland College was celebrated on 16th February 2019. Dr. P.V Bhandary Director,Dr. A V Baliga Memorial Hospital, Udupi was the chief guest on this historical occasion.

 

He emphasized the importance of alumni association and stressed how it is a vital link to connect with the friends even after many years. He quoted Mr. Lalaji Mendon’s words about gratitude “Do not forget, “Do not show off”& “Do not detach”. He explained how the alumni reunite during alumni day programmes and stay grounded even though some of them would have made it big in life with great achievements.

He appreciated the alumni for taking the initiative to organize the program and he applauded them for the arrangements. He complimented them for turning out in large numbers. He explained how the college and its students are benefited by this type of associations. He narrated various instances where he was touched by the work carried out by the various institutions in the campus founded by Dr. C T Abraham.

The most important fact he liked in our institutions is the family atmosphere created in the campus. He also expressed that alumni association program is the platform to help its members to forgive and forget all the differences they had during their student days.

He praised the value based education that is present in Crossland collage. He appreciated the various initiatives taken by Crossland College Alumni Association to help the college and its students in various ways. Finally he concluded his speech with the same words “Do not forget”, Do not Show off”’ & “Do not Detach”.Mr.Vishwanatha Shetty and Mr.Vijayendra Presidents of Brahmavar and Bengaluru chapter respectively addressed the gathering.Dr.Roy Philip, Correspondent and Principal Prof.Samuel K.Samuel complimented the students.

Dr.Robert Clive,Lecturer in charge welcomed the gathering ,Mr.Yogesh proposed the vote of thanks and Ms.Pramilla Dsouza compered the programme.Entertainment programmes were presented by the alumni.Mr.Guruprasad Bhat ,Secretary arranged the programmes.
