Thieves decamp with Rs 2.75 lac cash

Mangaluru: Thieves entered a house at Deralakatte in Konaje police station limits late night on Friday August 26 and decamped with Rs 2.75 lacs from the house. The theft occurred at the house of Khaleel Chicken stall owner Abdul Kareem near Natekal.

Thieves removed the latch of their back door through the window, entered the house and ransacked all the rooms in the house. They later went to the room where Abdul Kareem’s mother was sleeping and removed the key of the cupboard from under her pillow. They opened the drawer kept upstairs with the key and stole Rs 2.75 lacs cash from it.

Konaje station police have registered a case. Forensic experts and dog squad visited the place and conducted initial investigation.
