Three arrested in murder of notorious rowdy Kalia Rafiq

Mangaluru: The CCB Police of Mangaluru have succeeded in arresting three main accused in the case of murder of notorious rowdy Kalia Rafiq.

The weapons used in committing the crime including pistol and machetes as well as a Maruti Ertiga car have also been recovered from the trio. Kalia Rafique was hacked to death on the night of February 14 near the Kotekar petrol bunk.

Informing this to reporters on Tuesday, City Police Commissioner M Chandra Sekhar said that the trio was arrested from near Kallarakodi Naringana on Manjanady Nettilapadavu Road after receiving a tip off that they were in a Maruti Ertiga car bearing registration number KL-14-Q-376.

Those arrested are Noor Ali (36) of Uppala in Kasargod, Rasheed T S (30) from Hosadurga in Kasargod and Husainabba alias Hussain alias Suhail alias Ustad (35) from Sangabettu village in Bantwal taluk.
