Two die in bike-lorry mishap at Puttige

Udupi: In a targic incident, two youths died after their motorcycle came under the wheels of a speeding lorry at Puttige, near to Hiriyadka on Friday. The errant driver fled from the scene along with lorry.

A biker and his pillion passenger are identified as Varun Rao (22) and Vishwas Ballal (21). Meanwhile, a bus bus fell into a gorge after trying to avoid the coalition with lorry. The occupants in the bus suffered minor injuries.

A case has been registered against lorry driver.
