Mangaluru: State Minister for Food and Civil Supplies U T Khader strongly condemned the murder of Deepak Rao at Katipalla. He also has denied reports of having any link with the accused.

While urging the people against resorting to politics over such murders, Khader also denied having links with Ilyas, leader of Ullal’s notorious Target Gang. The clarification came after a picture of Ilyas seen seated on the same row as Khader while having food at a function, had gone viral.

The picture gained prominence in the backdrop of the fact that Ilyas is said to be a close aide of Pinky Nawaz, who is already behind bars in the Deepak murder case. Khader said that someone had clicked the picture and it is difficult to comprehend such things when he meets a large number of people who even click photos.
