Udupi Distict administration celebrates Women's day

Udupi: International Women Day celebration was organized by district administration, District Legal Services Authority, Udupi district Women and Children Development Department, District Women Associations Okkoota and Shtreeshakti Okkoota Udupi distirct and Paryaya Sri Palimar Math, Udupi at Rajangana, Sri Krishna Math on Thursday

Addressing after inauguration, Sheela K Shetty, vice president of ZP said, "There has been 33% reservation of women in political field also and the door has opened to the women to participate in political life. The women should take advantage of the reservation. There should be more sanctions by the government for the various organizations of the women in the state."

Shivananda Kapasi, CEO of Zilla Panchayat took the oath from all the participants during the occasion. He gave some of the important tips prior to the voting in the election and called to check the voter’s list with guarantee of vote. He said in order to confirm the vote, one can make SMS to 9731979899 or in the election commission website.

Gracy Gonsalves spole the key note address and welcomed the gatherings. The awareness programme on voting in the election also organized.
