Udupi: Grand celebration of Annual Feast of St. John Evangelist Church Pangla

Shankerpura/Pangla:  30-dec-16 The annual feast of patron saint St. John Evangelist ChurchPangla celebrated on 28th December 2016 attended by large number of faithful.  Loads of stalls of food, fun and scores of ice cream outlets added glitter and fun to the grand festival.

 

 

 

 

The feast began with Holy Eucharistic Mass concelebrated by Rev. Fr. Roshan D’Cunha (Asst. Parish Priest of Bendur Parish Mangalore) accompanied by Most Rev. Fr. StanyTauro (Parish Priest, Shirva), Rev. Fr. Dr. Leslie D’Souza (Parish Priest Pangla), Rev. Fr. Augustine Mendonsa, Rev. Fr. Charles Noronha (Parish Priest Palimar) and many other guests priests from Udupi Diocese.

In his brief homily, Fr. Roshan D’Cunha narrated the significant of love that God has bestowed upon His people through the prophets and especially beautifully narrated by our Patron Saint St. John the evangelist in his Gospel.

Fr. Leslie D’Souza thanked Fr. Roshan, Fr. StanyTauro for joining the parishioners during the annual feast and other guests’ priests who had joined the celebration. He also thanked each and every head of the associations and especially the parish Council, ICYM, for their role in organizing the festivities throughout this season.

Fr. StanyTauro wished all the parishioners happy feast.

The church choir rendered beautiful melodious hymns throughout the Holy Mass.

After the mass all faithful enjoyed lots of fun games, food outlests, stalls of games put up by ICYMYCS members.
