Udupi: Karnataka Karmikara Vedike’s protest against Diistrict Govt. Hospital

Udupi: Ravi Shetty, President of Karnataka Karmikara Vedike said that the district Health Superintendent is not available in the district hospital all the time. The resident doctors working all the hours in the hospital will be great tragedy for us. In the hospital, all respective rates increased. The x-ray charges doubled into Rs. 100/- The registration fees increased from Rs. 2 to Rs. 10/- Blood Bank department locked all the time. The situation in the hospital day by day deteriorated.

The demands of the Vedike are to install CC cameras in ward and car wards and should appoint 24x7 security guards. Well experienced nurses and doctors to be available in 24x7, Proper hygiene should be maintained in the hospital, drinking water tanks to be cleaned always and to supply better clean food for the patients. Clean beds with bed sheets to be provided. From various associations collected blood to be provided to those who need the blood freely. In emergency wards, all the time nurses and doctors to be available. At least twice in a day, hospital corridors and toilets should be cleaned. Free medicines should be distributed to needy patients. The hospital authorities should see the environment of the hospital around and keep clean.

During the protest, Ravi Shetty, President of Karnataka Karmikara Vedike, Chandrika Shetty, Nithyanand Olakkadu of Nagarikara Vedike, Chandra Poojary of Rotaract Club, Udupi, Manindra and Maxim of Sharada Auto Union, Ravi Shastri Bannanje and other leaders of various organizations were present.
