Udupi Premier League to begin from Apr 27

Udupi: Udupi Cricket Club will host a mega 'Udupi Premier League - 2016', with cash prizes worth over Rs 50 lac at stake. The matches will be played at MGM ground, Udupi on a modified green grass turf on all days from April 27 to May 1, 2016.

'Udupi Premier League - 2016' is going to be one of the most professionally organised, high-profile 20-20 cricket tournament in the region. The winning team will get Rs 20 lac cash prize, the runner-up receive Rs 10 lac and semi-final losers will get Rs 2 lac each.

The man of the series player will get a brand new car. Also, attractive prizes will be given to best bastman, best bowler, scorer of highest sixes and best fielder.

The organising committee for the tourney consist of Sri Lakshmivarateertha Swamiji of Shiroor Math, Pramod Madhwaraj, MLA of Udupi, Mohammed Arif, vice-chairman of Udupi Premier League, Thonse Jayakrishna Shetty, Sadhiq Kaup, Abdul Khadar, Mohammed Irfan, Nasir, M Samiuddin, Firoz Amid Sheikh, Aroor Sukesh Shetty, K Mohammed Niyaz and Imran Zahoor.
