Udupi district Police all set to Paryaya celebrations

Udupi : On the occasion of Sri Pejawar Mutt Paryaya celebrations at Sri Krishna Mutt, Udupi on 17th and 18th January, 2016, district Police are making elaborate security arrangements for the smooth and successful celebrations.

Speaking with media persons on Wednesday, 13th January at SP Office Conference Hall, Annamalai K. District Superintendent of Police said that on the two days of occasion several very important persons and lakhs of people will visit Udupi. During the occasion, from Jodukatte, lakhs of people along with more than 10 tablas, more than 74 artists teams, Astamutt’s Yathi mantaps will take part in procession. On the occasion, lakhs of people from other districts, states will participate during the various programmes.

He said eight Union Cabinet Ministers, former Union Ministers, former Deputy Prime Minister, Three Chief Ministers’ of the country, altogether around 42 very very important persons will arrive during the occasion.

In order to maintain law and order situation, precaution will be taken by the district administration as well as Police. The following police arrangements to be made as :-

1. For the maintaining of law and order, including Udupi, total five district Police Personnel, including two Superintendent of Police, Five DYSP, 16 C.P.I., 45 PSI, 110 ASI, 780 HC/PC., 96 Women Police, 284 Home Guards and 6 KSRP and 6 DAR platoons will be deputed during the Paryaya. A police outpost is opened at Car Street to register the devotees’ grievances.

2. Two Police control rooms will be set up. District Control room Tel no. 100, 0820 2526444. Udupi Town Police station no. 0820 2520444.

3. To avoid any unfortunate incidence 6 check posts are set up who will work 24x7.

4. On the occasion of Paryaya, temporarily vehicles parking on 22 places are arranged for two wheeler’s as well as Bus, Lorry and others at:

a. Parking Place at Christian High School – from Alevoor, Korangrapady side all types of vehicles.

b. Beedinagudde Maidan – from Kukkikatte, Moodubelle side all types of vehicles.

c. Beedinagudde Ranga Mandir – from Kukkikatte, Moodubelle side all types of vehicles.

d. Besides Bhujanga Park Road – Ambalpady, Brahmagiri side all types of vehicles.

e. Kithoor Chennamma Cross Road, Ajjarkadu – from Ambalpady, Ajjarkadu Syndicate side coming all types of vehicles.

f. U.B.M.C. Higher Primary School – from Korangrapady, Chitpady, Bailoor side coming all types of vehicles.

g. Christian PU College, Udupi – from Chitpady, Korangrapady, Bailoor side coming all types of vehicles.

h. St. Cecily’s PU College, Udupi – from Ambalpady side coming all types of vehicles.

i. GTS School Ground – Ambalpady, Brahmagiri side coming all types of vehicles.

j. Vivekananda Govt. Higher Primary School, Ajjarkady – from Kinnimulki Swagathagopura, Kannarpady road side coming all types of vehicles.

k. Govt. High School Ajjarkadu Ground – from from Kinnimulki Swagathagopura, Kannarpady road side coming all types of vehicles.

l. Adi Udupi Hir. Pry. School – Malpe side coming all types of vehicles.

m. North School Compund – Sanskrith Junction and Sairam Junction side coming vehicles.

n. Olakkadu School Compound – from Chitpady, Beedinagudde side coming vehicles.

o. Govt. Board High School – from Karavali junction, Bannanje, city stand side coming light vehicles.

p. Anantheshwara Eng. Med. School – from Beedinagudde side coming all vehicles.

q. Royal Soda Parking (Kalsanka) – from Manipal – Kalsanka side coming all vehicles.

r. MGM. Ground – from Karkala side coming all vehicles.

s. City Developers Compound, Kalsanka – Karavali Junction, Bannanje City Stand side coming light vehicles,

t. Sharada Residential School ground – Manipal Karkala road side coming all types of vehicles.

u. Sathyam Shivam Sundaram Ground Brahmagiri – Maple side coming all types of vehicles.

v. CSI Boys Boarding Home Compound – Korangrapady, Chitpady, Bailoor side coming vehicles.

During the Paryaya celebration for the safe vehicles traffic, some of the routes will be temporarily changed. From 17th Jan to 18th January, incoming and outgoing buses routes changed.

1. Mangalore – Balaipade – Ambalpady side incoming buses to Udupi city should come from Ambalpady NH66 to Karavali Junction – Bannanje to Udupi City.

2. The outgoing buses from Udupi Service and city buses should go on Bannanje – Karavali junction to Mangalore, Malpe and Kundapur side.

3. The outgoing buses from Udupi city to Karkala side will be halted and started from Manipal itself. No buses will be allowed to Udupi from Karkala side route.

4. The incoming buses from Malpe – Santhekatte – Kundapur side buses should enter city from Karavali Junction to city and service bus stands.

5. The buses flying towards Mumbai from Mangaluru are banned from entering the city for two days. Mumbai bound passengers should board at Ambalpady, Balaipade and Karavali Junctions.

Parking of vehicles is banned at Lions Circle, Kinnimulki welcome arch, Govinda Kalyana Mantapa, Jodukatte, Court Road, Mitha Hospital and Junction, Ideal Junction, Hanuman Circle, Sanskrith College, Kanakadas Road,Chithranjan Circle, LVT Tenkupete temple road, Harishchandra road to Vidyodaya School, Kalsanka to Rajanangana Parking place, Katte Acharya Marg and there is not entrance for vehicles to Rathabeedi, Diana Circle, Syndicate Tower, Tenkapet, K.M.Marg, Badagupete and Kalsanka to Rajaangana parking area. Paid parking facility from Woodlands Hotel to Pejawar Matt backyard is also banned.

Moreover, SP said that Deputy Commissioner has banned the sale of liquor in CMC limits for the precaution of maintaining law and order.

From the parking places for the handicapped and old citizens can provide special vehicles arrangement to reach the paryaya place. On the occasion of Paryaya 2016, he asked co operation from members of public, Self help groups officials and members, Co – operative societies officials, government and non government officials shall co operate with Police.
